The hosting country, China, managed to collect just two medals, one gold and one silver, both of which came from the Warcraft III tournament, where the Chinese players were highly favoured for places on the podium.

The winning nation for Counter-Strike, Poland, also picked up a bronze medal in the FIFA 09 competition, while Sweden's other two medals came from Trackmania.
